Looking for an awesome way to give back to the community in December after school’s out? Keen to gain some work experience? Volunteer at the Special Olympics The Special Olympics National Summer Games are being held in Christchurch from 10‑14 December 2025 and they need over 650 volunteers to assist at this event. The minimum age is 16 and the varied volunteer roles are: Media Management Opening Ceremony Photography Supporting Sport Traffic Management Venue Management You can choose the days and shifts that suit you: National Summer Games (Wed 10 – Sun 14 Dec) Post Games Support (Mon 15 Dec) Shifts will be a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 8 hours long.
