This is a hands-on precision engineering role, primarily focused on working with small, intricate surgical instruments rather than large machinery, making it ideal for qualified tradespeople who enjoy detailed technical work and problem-solving in a specialised healthcare environment. The role is primarily based at Auckland City Hospital, with occasional travel to other local sites.**Key responsibilities include:*** Service, maintain, repair, and refurbish surgical instruments.* Ensure medical devices are safe, fit for purpose, and compliant with relevant standards.* Provide technical support for clinical equipment across hospital sites.* Respond to equipment-related issues as part of the Clinical Engineering team.* Contribute to the delivery of high-quality Clinical Engineering services that support patient care.**About the Team/Service**The Procurement, Supply Chain and Health Technology (PSC&HTM) team at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora are a national function with a vast and complex scope.
