Senior Financial Accountant

Senior Financial Accountant Lead the New Zealand finance function for a global healthcare technology leader at the forefront of innovation and improving patient outcomes with cutting-edge medical technologies. This role is based in Ellerslie and offers an ownership opportunity over the NZ finance function while partnering closely with local and international stakeholders across a multinational environment. Reporting to the Finance Manager based in Australia, you will oversee all financial and accounting activities for the New Zealand business, working closely with the wider ANZ and global finance teams to ensure accurate reporting, strong compliance, effective controls and continuous process improvements. Key Responsibilities Manage the month-end and year-end close processes Prepare monthly financial reporting and group reporting requirements Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries Conduct financial analysis, reconciliations and variance reporting Oversee AP, AR and payroll activities delivered through Shared Services Manage NZ tax compliance, including FBT obligations Lead external audit processes and statutory reporting requirements Partner with business stakeholders across New Zealand and Australia Identify and implement process and system improvements Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local statutory requirements About You CA, CPA or equivalent accounting qualification 10+ years of experience in a senior accounting or finance role Strong knowledge of NZ taxation and statutory reporting requirements Experience working within multinational organisations Exposure to IFRS, US GAAP or complex reporting environments Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and stakeholder management capability A proactive, hands-on and commercially minded approach The ability to operate effectively in a standalone finance role while collaborating across global teams What’s on Offer Competitive salary package circa $125,000 plus bonus Hybrid working arrangement (2-3 days in the office) Exposure to a global, market-leading organisation Career development opportunities within an international business Supportive and collaborative team culture A genuine opportunity to influence processes and drive continuous improvement Meaningful work supporting innovative healthcare solutions #J-18808-Ljbffr
