About the Role Permanent - full time (1 FTE). We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and innovative senior Registered Nurse for the role of Nurse Educator, General Surgery & Trauma Intra abdominal transplant. In this challenging and rewarding position, you will further develop your organisational skills and apply your well-grounded clinical practice experience. You will work collaboratively and innovatively within the General Surgical & Trauma Intra abdominal transplant teams and will assess and deliver on learning needs. Responsibilities Assess and deliver on learning needs for the General Surgical & Trauma Intra abdominal transplant teams. Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive work environment incorporating Te Toka Tumai – Auckland values. Lead educational initiatives and support staff development. Ensure compliance with professional standards and quality improvement processes. Qualifications Commitment to biculturalism. Commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori. Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ). Evidence of competence to practice within the Registered Nurse scope of practice. Advanced specialty knowledge and practice expertise. Proficient or expert level of practice. Practice assessment, appraisal and feedback skills. Knowledge of quality improvement processes and principles. Personal commitment to ongoing learning and development. Postgraduate certificate/diploma in specialty nursing practice. Working towards completion of a Masters Degree in nursing or a health-related area.
