About the Role As a Pre-Analytical Technician, your primary responsibility will be the collection of laboratory specimens, assisting with data entry (registration) and specimen preparation for testing. You will work in a collaborative and supportive environment to deliver your mahi, contributing to the success of our busy laboratory. This casual role may include weekend shifts. Key responsibilities Deliver a high-quality, timely service with a strong attention to detail. Maintain a high level of accuracy in specimen collection and data entry. Communicate empathetically and professionally with patients and colleagues. Qualifications Registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council is preferred, but not required. Full training will be provided. Healthcare or customer service experience is an advantage. Phlebotomy or healthcare experience is preferred. About the Team The Specimen Services Department plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by managing the collection, processing, and distribution of patient specimens for testing. Operating on a 24/7 roster, the team is dedicated to handling specimens accurately and promptly to support timely diagnosis and treatment.
