About the Role Are you a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse ready to take the next step in leadership? We are seeking an Associate Clinical Nurse Manager (ACNM) to join our Integrated Family Health Service (IFHS) team in the Northern Region (Westport & Reefton). This role works in close partnership with the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) to ensure the smooth coordination of services across primary care settings, supporting excellence in rural health outcomes. You will play a pivotal role in empowering staff, promoting high-quality care, and ensuring alignment with Te Whatu Ora – Te Tai o Poutini West Coast’s vision and values. As ACNM, you will: Supportthe CNM in the day-to-day coordination and delivery of integrated healthservices. Usecritical thinking to lead by example, promoting safe, effective,patient-focused care. Maintainhigh standards of health and safety, ensuring compliance with policies andprocedures. Drivequality improvement initiatives, audits, and professional standards ofcare. Fostereffective communication and collaboration across interdisciplinary teams. Provideleadership, mentoring, and support to nursing staff, ensuring professionaldevelopment and performance standards are met. Contributeto workforce planning, rostering, and budget management in collaborationwith the CNM. Ensurecompliance with Ministry of Health and Te Whatu Ora requirements. About You RegisteredNurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, holding a currentpractising certificate. Minimum3-5years post-registration nursing experience, with experience in thespecialty area. Currentlyholds or working towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing. Strongleadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Soundunderstanding of the Nursing Council of New Zealand competencies andperformance appraisal processes. Provenorganisational and time management skills. Computerliteracy and adaptability to new systems. Commitmentto Te Whatu Ora – Te Tai o Poutini West Coast’s vision and rural healthoutcomes. Previousmanagement or leadership experience in a healthcare setting. Postgraduatequalification in leadership and management (or working towards). DesignatedSenior Nursing level on the Professional Development and RecognitionProgramme (PDRP).
