Registered Nurse Theatre Base Hospital, Permanent full time. Opportunity for nurses with passion for theatre nursing. Learn across multiple specialties, acute emergent and routine elective cases. About the Role We are welcoming applications from competent and professional practitioners who will be providing caring, best practice nursing services to our patients that put them at the centre of everything we do. Experienced in operating theatre procedures across specialties. Provide optimum care within operating theatres with critical thinking as a cornerstone. Supervise and delegate to enrolled nurses and healthcare assistants. Perform delegated patient care tasks within the Theatre department. Available for rostered duties as dictated by Theatre. Accountable for risk management, equipment maintenance and patient safety. Excellent communicator among theatre team and MDT. Create a seamless teamwork environment. Te Whatu Ora Taranaki Operating Theatre Suite consists of six operating theatres covering a wide range of specialities. Staffing roster: nine hour shift pattern, with on‑call Monday to Thursday, onsite morning, afternoon and night shift cover Friday to Sunday. Show initiative, be apt at critical thinking in the theatre environment. Current Annual Practising Certificate. Motivated to prioritise quality in practice.
