Job Description
The Position Learning Area Leader – responsible for driving excellence in curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and student outcomes across Years 7–12. The role requires strategic leadership, initiative and professional influence, fostering a high‑performing team culture where teachers collaborate, innovate and continuously improve practice. Responsibilities Lead the learning area, shaping and aligning curriculum with the College vision, Victorian Curriculum 2.0, VCE Study Designs, VCE Vocational Major requirements and the EREA Touchstone of a Liberating Education. Drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning practices within the learning area. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture among teachers, encouraging professional development and reflective practice. Ensure alignment of curriculum, pedagogy and assessment to meet student outcomes and statutory requirements. Provide leadership and support for teachers in implementing best practice in their discipline. Qualifications and Experience Current registration as a teacher in Victoria or ability to obtain registration prior to commencement. Substantially qualified, highly motivated and innovative leader with excellent organisational skills. Passion for Catholic Education in the Edmund Rice Tradition and commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children. Benefits Term of appointment: three years, commencing 27 January 2027, with an ongoing teaching position associated with the appointment.
