Decorator Operator (NZ)

The Decorator Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining our decorators at our Can Manufacturing facility in Wiri, South Auckland. This is a 6-month fixed-term position, with the potential for extension based on performance. The successful candidate must be willing to work a rotating 12-hour shift pattern as part of a continuous 7-day operation. The roster follows a four days on, four days off cycle (applied for approximately six months of the year): two day shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm, followed by two night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am, then four days off. Overtime opportunities are readily available and paid at premium rates. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain Concord decorators to meet onsite production and quality targets Execute machine setups, adjustments and changeovers in line with customer specifications Troubleshoot equipment faults and implement corrective actions as required Proactively resolve issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Conduct regular inspections, cleaning and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to strict food safety standards and procedures at all times Read, understand and follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals and support continuous improvement efforts About You 5+ years' experience as a Machine Operator in a high-speed manufacturing environment, with previous printing experience Can-making experience is essential Strong attention to detail with a customer-focused mindset Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team Demonstrated focus on quality outcomes and continuous improvement Strong commitment to safe work practices and compliance Sound mechanical aptitude and problem-solving capability #J-18808-Ljbffr
