Business Centre Operations Leader (BCOL), Buildings, NZ Stantec’s Buildings team in New Zealand delivers end-to-end projects for our clients, from feasibility and design through to construction, commissioning, and operation. Specialising in mission‑critical facilities such as data centres and healthcare, our team of 100 brings expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, fire, electrical and sustainability engineering to a growing domestic business with a large local project portfolio. About the Role We’re looking for a Business Centre Operations Leader (BCOL) to manage the day‑to‑day operations of our New Zealand Buildings business, working closely with the Regional Director to support performance, delivery, and growth. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving business performance, leading our people, and shaping the future direction of our Buildings team. You’ll optimise performance, enable growth, and build a high‑performing, connected culture while ensuring our people and projects thrive. What you’ll be doing Lead overall Business Centre performance including financial delivery and operational excellence Drive continuous improvement across forecasting, utilisation, backlog and project outcomes Partner with Group Leaders to align resources, capability and growth Lead business planning and budgeting processes Build and lead a high‑performing, engaged team Shape workforce planning for current and future demand Provide strategic oversight on major projects where needed Enable collaboration and work‑sharing across regions, with other business centres, and through our connection to Stantec’s Global Tier 1 Buildings business Champion health, safety and wellbeing across the business About Stantec We’ve been serving our clients and communities in Aotearoa New Zealand for over 125 years.
