Location: Aucklandor Melbourne Termina is how global brands manage their energy accounts and assets in one place. We help businesses save money on energy while reducing admin and emissions. We're hiring an Account Manager to manage and own our New Zealand client base. You'll be the named, on-the-ground owner for our NZ multi-site clients — leading client relationships, resolving complex ops end-to-end, and driving retention and growth across a market that demands local presence. This is an experienced role with full account ownership from day one. You'll run client calls, navigate NZ-specific retailer and regulatory complexity, conduct business reviews, oversee resolution of complex tickets, and develop revenue growth opportunities across the book. You'll work directly with the NZ Country Director with additional support from our ANZ Account Lead. What You'll Own Retention and growth. Run business reviews, surface upsell and cross-sell across the book, drive site growth and additional services. Client engagement. Lead client calls, retailer conversations, and partner check-ins across NZ. Drive proactive cadence across the book Complex resolution. Own end-to-end resolution of the complex ops issues that drive churn risk — meter installs, billing and credit disputes, business transfers, move-ins, retailer escalations. This is where NZ has been bleeding AM time; the role is to absorb and resolve it locally. Reporting and insight. Maintain a current view of NZ account health — churn signals, support trends, contract timing, ops issues. Process and automation build. Identify what's repetitive, slow, or invisible in how we manage NZ. Use AI tools and process design to scale the market operation Who You Are Exceptional communicator. You can run a book of 50+ accounts without a manager hovering. You set your own cadence, know what "good" looks like, and own outcomes. Trusted advisor. Clients turn to you because you're prepared, honest, and consistent. You build relationships by being useful, not charming. Detail-oriented problem solver. You dig past the first answer. You read the data, not just the email. You have a strong bias to action and take ownership of problems until they are solved Builder mindset. You see process gaps as opportunities. You're fluent with AI tools and use them to multiply your capacity - drafting, summarising, analysing, automating. Experience 5+ years in Account Management, Customer Success, or a client-facing commercial role Demonstrated ownership of a book end-to-end NZ energy industry experience is preferred. If not from energy, candidates must have proven track record learning complex industries fast. Track record of resolving complex multi-party operational growth issues alongside strong stakeholder engagement Incredible written and verbal communication. Comfortable with modern tooling: Zendesk, Close (or equivalent CRM), Customer.io, Figma, Claude, etc AI native with an ability to leverage AI tools to build fast Startup or fast-paced commercial environment experience.
