We are seeking a Senior Support Engineer based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara | Wellington. Permanent full time Based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara So that the foundations of ancestral lands may be solid, benefitting Māori from our past, present and future alike. This is Te Tumu Paeroa, guardian, support and advancer of the mana of Māori land everywhere. He angitūtanga: About the Role: Join us as a Kaitautoko Hangarau Whakaaturanga Matua | Senior Support Engineer and become a key player in keeping Te Tumu Paeroa connected and secure. In this role, you’ll be the go‑to expert for Level 1 and 2 technical support, helping our team thrive with seamless IT solutions. You’ll manage and optimise our cloud operations in Azure, take charge of Intune administration, and play a critical role supporting security management – ensuring our systems are robust and future‑ready. This is your chance to work with cutting‑edge technology while making a real impact for Māori landowners across Aotearoa. The main responsibilities of this role will include: Deliver Level 1 and 2 technical support, resolving helpdesk requests within agreed service levels and sharing knowledge with users. Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including cloud services and collaboration platforms. Manage device and application lifecycle through Intune, including AutoPilot deployments, updates, compliance monitoring, and remediations. Implement and monitor Azure security controls, improving Secure Score and ensuring organisational and regulatory compliance. Provide operational leadership and strategic support, including oversight of support activities, onboarding/offboarding, solution deployments, and user training. At least three years’ experience delivering cloud‑based technology solutions. A strong working knowledge of Azure Intune and modern device management. Sound expertise in Azure administration, including robust management practices. Demonstrated experience administering Microsoft 365, including Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, OneNote, and Intune. Well‑developed problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Highly effective written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management and organisational capability, with the ability to prioritise competing demands. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Business Central, SharePoint and/or M365 would be an advantage. Eligibility to work in New Zealand is essential. Pae Tahi- Te Whakahua | A desire and ability to practise correct pronunciation of Te Reo Māori (essential). Pae Rua- Te Whakarongo | An ability to understand Te Reo Māori, a desire and ability to practice correct pronunciation of Te Reo Māori (desired). Pae Tahi- Nō Ia Rā | An understanding and living of Tikanga Māori on a day‑to‑day level, for example, the removing of shoes before entering a whare, washing hands at the urupa and not sitting on tables (essential). Pae Rua- Te Noho Marae | An understanding and living of Tikanga Māori on a noho marae level. Knowing and practising things such as basic karakia, waiata and one’s own pepehā (desired).
