This role is ideal if you are looking for flexible work, want to pick up shifts around your lifestyle, are studying or working part-time, or are keen to gain more experience in aged care. You may already be an experienced Caregiver, or you may be newer to the sector and looking for the right opportunity to learn and grow. As a casual Caregiver, you will support our residents in our care homes, working alongside Registered Nurses and experienced care teams. Some of the great things you will be doing include: Providing quality care and support to our residents Helping residents feel safe, respected, comfortable and valued Supporting daily care needs under the guidance of our Registered Nurses Working as part of a caring and supportive team Building your confidence and experience in aged care Picking up shifts that match your availability, experience and location We have opportunities across Auckland, so once you apply, we can talk with you about the villages and shifts that may suit you best. About you We are looking for people with the right attitude, strong communication skills and a genuine interest in supporting older people. You may be an experienced Caregiver, have a Careerforce qualification, or be at the beginning of your aged care career. We will consider your experience and availability and look at where you may best fit within our teams. Things that will support your application include: Previous experience in aged care, healthcare or supporting older people A Careerforce qualification or equivalent, although this is not essential for all roles A good level of fitness, as the role can be physically active Empathy, patience and a caring nature Reliability and a positive attitude The ability to work well as part of a team Flexibility to work across different shifts and locations where possible Most importantly, you will enjoy making a difference in the lives of our residents.
