Commercial Finance Manager

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior finance role on a part‑time basis, working closely with a high‑performing, tight‑knit team. The client is a well‑established, growing business where finance sits at the centre of decision‑making. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll act as the go‑to person across all things finance; providing insight, challenge, and support to drive the business forward. This is more than a traditional accounting role. It’s a hands‑on, commercially focused position where you’ll have real influence across the business. What you’ll be doing Overseeing monthly management accounts, reporting, and financial performance Providing insight on risks, opportunities, and business performance Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management Acting as a key commercial partner to the CEO and wider team Supporting tenders, pricing, and contract reviews when required Taking ownership of financial processes, systems, and improvements Leading and supporting a small admin/operations function What we’re looking for Strong all‑round finance capability (management accounting / commercial finance) CA preferred but not essential Able to interpret financials and explain them clearly to non-finance stakeholders Confident to challenge and push back when needed Detail‑oriented, with a strong commercial mindset Self‑sufficient and comfortable working in a small team environment Why this role Part‑time (approx. 25 hours) with flexibility on how this is structured Direct exposure to the CEO and real influence on decisions High‑trust, high‑performing team with a strong culture Broad, varied role with real ownership Opportunity to grow and evolve the role over time This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a meaningful, senior role with flexibility – whether that’s around lifestyle, family, or other commitments.
