Overview At Mana Ake Tairawhiti we are dedicated to promoting mental wellbeing and supporting the mental health of children and adolescents in our communities. Responsibilities Facilitate wānanga aimed at enhancing mental wellbeing for children and adolescents. Provide guidance and support based on principles of resilience, behaviour management, emotional regulation and understanding neurodiversity. Collaborate with families, schools, and community organisations to promote mental health awareness. Incorporate Māori traditional healing practices into your work and be open to ongoing learning and training. Travel within the region to deliver programs and workshops. Demonstrate honesty, reliability and credibility. Identify insights from information, think critically, communicate core elements and explore options. Maintain excellent interpersonal skills and effectively engage, collaborate and partner with a wide range of stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Post‑Graduate Qualification in Health with ongoing tertiary study plans or equivalent qualification. Requirements Applicants must be eligible to work in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Preferred and/or successful applicants will be willing to undergo pre‑employment screening which may include Police Vetting, Child Checks, OT Vetting, Criminal Record Checks, Medical Checks, ID checks and Pre‑Employment Drug & Alcohol testing. Must hold a current New Zealand Full Drivers Licence. Employment Conditions In‑line with NZ employment legislation, employment terms include up to, but not longer than, 60 day trial periods.
