We want your skills We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Hydraulic Modeller with 3 to 10 years of relevant experience to join us and be part of a successful and growing Water Engineering team. What you'll bring BE or BSc Qualification 3 to 10 years of relevant experience Experience with TUFLOW and/or Infoworks ICM, and QGIS An understanding of stormwater catchment planning Strong interpersonal skills including ability to collaborate with clients to develop engineering solutions to flooding issues; including using sound judgement and experience Experience preparing project proposals Self‑motivated, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, an eye for detail, and savvy with Microsoft Suites and artificial intelligence tools What you'll do Undertake analysis and design for various projects Develop computational hydraulic models (1D and 2D) for fluvial and urban engineering applications Undertake flood hazard mapping and prepare flood risk assessments to identify and understand catchment flooding issues Conduct hydrological analysis and data analysis Drive high‑quality engineering design and flood modelling analysis outputs Comply with Tonkin + Taylor Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Policies requirements Our benefits Exposure to a variety of professional experts and projects; Tonkin + Taylor are involved in a number of large‑scale alliance projects, as well as smaller community focused projects A highly supportive team environment where you are encouraged to pave your own career path that caters to your own personal pathway Professional memberships and continued education support A flexible working culture and formal flexible working arrangements including part‑time working and ability to purchase extra leave Internal training programs and mentoring programs We embrace flexible working at Tonkin + Taylor and aim to work in a way that serves the needs of our people, clients and communities.
