English and Liberal Arts Teacher

Job Description English and Liberal Arts Teacher – Auckland CBD – Fixed‑term until 18 September 2026. UP International College is looking for a passionate teacher to join the Pathways Link Programme. Conduct English lessons for international EAL learners with IELTS scores of 4.5 – 5.0, and administer related assessments and administrative tasks. Deliver Liberal Arts subjects (e.g., Media Studies) to the same students, including assessments and administrative duties. Lead Whanau Classes focused on social wellbeing and inclusion. Provide academic and pastoral oversight of students. Engage with pastoral and academic systems. Escalate academic or pastoral issues through the Learner Success Team, who communicate with parents and agents. Complete additional administrative tasks as required. Qualifications A qualification suitable to teach EAP to international learners. Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Graduate Diploma in Teaching. Teaching Certification with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand. Experience in an international student environment preferred. Additional Information Academically focused role.
