Mō te tūnga | About the role We’re looking for a motivated and detail focused Financial Services Administrator to join our Financial Services Centre team based in Rotorua. In this role, you'll help ensure timely, accurate, and high quality financial services that support our mahi with tamariki, rangatahi, and their communities. If you’re an organised administrator with strong financial acumen and a passion for public service, we’d love to hear from you! Key responsibilities include: Providing timely and accurate processing across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, database management, and other financial services Conducting quality assurance checks in line with policy and probity requirements Maintaining accurate records and documentation Responding to financial enquiries and provide clear, helpful advice Supporting continuous improvement of financial systems and processes Assisting with reporting, statistics, and occasional project work Building strong internal and external relationships, always keeping tamariki at the centre of your work This is a role where attention to detail, great communication, and a commitment to service really matter. Being based out of the Rotorua office is essential, and will require at least 4 days a week in the office to start in the role. Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring Key requirements of the role include: Proven administration experience (essential), financial administration experience preferred Experience using financial management systems Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy Strong organisation and time management skills A calm, professional approach—especially under pressure Ability to build effective working relationships Understanding of public sector processes and obligations Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples’ culture The right to work full time in New Zealand A relevant administration qualification is desirable but not essential. Annual remuneration for this position starts between $54,080 and $57,901 dependent on experience.
