About the Role The Interpreting Service is based at Manukau Health Park and serves the requests of all Counties Manukau District inpatients, outpatients and community interpreting requirements as well as any external client requests from the Police, Ministry of Justice and other agencies predominantly in the South Auckland region. As part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring effective communication between healthcare professionals and patients. We currently have part‑time and casual opportunities available for: Tongan Interpreter – Casual Cook Island Interpreter – Part time, 20 hours a week Samoan Interpreter – Part time, 16 hours a week About You The ideal candidates will need to be available to work Monday to Friday and during business hours. The ideal candidates will have the following qualifications: Completed a community course or interpreting qualification Fluency in English and the relevant language listed above Knowledge of the NZ healthcare system and/or medical terminology Provide consecutive interpreting services via face‑to‑face, telephone and virtual remote interpreting Demonstrate excellent customer service Come and be part of a team where your contribution is valued, and where you can make a meaningful difference every day.
