Job Description

Healthcare Assistant, Admissions Unit. Fixed term. This is a fixed term position for an 8 month period , starting mid-August 2026 until mid-April 2027. The role is fulltime, working 8 hour shifts Monday to Friday. Start time is 6.15am and finish is 2.45pm. This job is primarily based at Allevia Hospital Ascot, however there may be times when you are instead required to work in the Admissions unit at Allevia Hospital Epsom. Our Admissions Unit is a fun, hardworking team of RNs and Healthcare Assistants. We provide an excellent service for patients by admitting, assessing and preparing them for elective surgical procedures performed by many of Auckland's leading surgical specialists. As an HCA in the Admissions Unit you will work under the direction of the RNs and report to the Charge Nurse Manager.
