Head Housekeeper

PACIFIC MOTEL LIMITED, Auckland is looking for a skilled and passionate Head Housekeeper to join our team. This is a full-time role with 30 to 40 hours of work per week. Pay starts from $30 to $35 per hour. Key Duties & Responsibilities Supervise housekeeping staff including room attendants, cleaners, and laundry personnel to ensure efficient daily operations. Plan, schedule, and allocate work duties to housekeeping team members. Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards are maintained. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations across all housekeeping activities. Manage inventory and supplies , including ordering cleaning materials, linen, and guest amenities. Coordinate with other departments (front office, maintenance, management) to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to maintain service quality and performance standards. Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping services in a professional manner. Maintain records and reports related to staff attendance, cleaning schedules, and inventory usage. Monitor and control costs within the housekeeping department. Requirements Relevant qualification (e.g., Level 4 or above in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or a related field), OR At least 2 years of relevant work experience in housekeeping or accommodation services. Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a housekeeping or hospitality environment would be an advantage. Knowledge of cleaning standards , hygiene practices, and health & safety regulations. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with staff and other departments. #J-18808-Ljbffr
