Physiotherapist (1.0 FTE fixed term) Nelson

About the Role As a Physiotherapist at Nelson Hospital, you will work alongside clients, building relationships and supporting them throughout their health journey. You will be part of a multi‑disciplinary team, providing quality assessment and goal‑oriented interventions through a patient‑centred approach. The role requires adaptability, resourcefulness and flexibility to meet service needs. Normal working hours are Monday – Friday 6:00AM to 8:00PM, with weekend roster contribution and on‑call duties. This fixed‑term parental‑leave cover runs until August2027, working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0FTE). Responsibilities Provide patient assessment and goal‑oriented interventions in a patient‑centred approach. Work collaboratively with a multi‑disciplinary team and liaise with other health professionals. Adapt to change, showing resourcefulness and flexibility to meet service needs. Participate in weekend roster and on‑call duties as required. Qualifications NZ Registered Physiotherapist. Comprehensive clinical assessment skills. Problem‑solving abilities and ability to work autonomously and collaboratively. Excellent communication skills. Broad clinical knowledge and experience, valuing teamwork and innovative thinking. Eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of application.
