Automotive Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced, franchise-trained Automotive Technician to join a highly regarded dealership group in New Plymouth. Position You will be working within a franchise dealership environment servicing multiple brands of light passenger vehicles. Key responsibilities Routine servicing and maintenance Minor and major repairs Diagnostics and fault finding Engine and transmission repairs and rebuild work when required What’s on offer Competitive hourly rate of $33–$40 per hour (based on experience and training) Full‑time, permanent position with a minimum 40 hours per week Supportive, professional workshop environment Ongoing manufacturer training opportunities Excellent opportunity to join a busy and stable dealership with strong workshop throughput About you Relevant automotive trade qualification Ability to work independently and efficiently Consistent achievement of productivity and efficiency targets Experience mentoring or training apprentices is a bonus Strong diagnostic capability and experience using OEM diagnostic scan tools Clear verbal and written communication skills Clean driver’s licence Team‑focused attitude Experience with prestige European or Asian vehicle brands is highly desirable, although technicians with strong experience on other brands are also encouraged to apply.
