Sales Assistant- Number One Shoes + Hannahs (Masterton)

The Role We’re looking for a Sales Assistant to join our Masterton team. Hours 13 hours per week (Friday: 9:00‑17:00, Saturday: 10:00‑16:00). Responsibilities Help customers find the right products and sizes, providing a friendly, welcoming experience every day. Maintain store standards, keeping displays tidy, well‑stocked, and visually appealing. Support operational tasks including point‑of‑sale transactions, stock replenishment, and daily store duties. Contribute to team goals, helping the store succeed and supporting your colleagues. Deliver our “Every Day Great Experience” (EDGE) by engaging customers, identifying needs, and providing tailored advice. Achieve personal and team sales targets while upselling and maximising the customer experience. Maintain a clean, tidy, and well‑presented store. Ensure merchandise is stocked, displays are attractive, and promotions are executed accurately. Assist with stock, deliveries, and transfers. Follow cash‑handling procedures and store security practices. Support opening and closing duties as required. Work closely with store management and team members, contributing to a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture. Qualifications A positive attitude, energy, and a love for helping people. Confidence to engage with customers and share product knowledge. Flexibility to work rostered hours, including weekends and public holidays. Teamwork and collaboration skills. Previous retail or customer service experience is a bonus but not essential.
