Are you seeking a new challenge, dealing with a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment? We operate four Aquatic Facilities in the North Canterbury region, including Dudley Park Aquatic Centre in Rangiora, Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre and seasonal sites Oxford Community Aquatic Centre and Waikuku Beach paddling pool. From these facilities, we provide a high‑level customer experience to a wide range of users ensuring that each facility is being utilised to its full potential. We are a respectful and progressive team delivering value for our customers. This is a permanent full‑time position for the role of Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre Team Leader. The role is under the oversight of the Waimakariri District Council. Responsibilities As the Centre Team Leader, you will be an organised and passionate leader, providing direct contact with staff, customers and the community. You will be responsible for: Organising the operational staff who deliver our services, including rostering, administration, training and development; Coaching new members, growing skills and fostering talent to develop career pathways, capability and resilience. Qualifications Industry experience and proven ability to work with a diverse customer base; Previous experience leading teams and knowledge of Learn to Swim, Lifeguard and Health and Safety (advantageous but not required); Ability to hold or be capable of achieving the National Pool Lifeguard Certificate and a Swim Education Award.
