This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to making a difference for children. About the role As a new entrant teacher, you will join Te Puna, a team of seven Year 1 and 2 teachers. You will work closely with colleagues to: Develop high-quality teaching practice that reflects the New Zealand Curriculum, with a strong focus on structured literacy (BSLA) and mathematics (PR1ME). Contribute to the design and delivery of meaningful learning opportunities. Support the wellbeing and success of all learners as they transition to school. You will be supported with consistent and regular classroom release time, half a day per week. About you We are looking for someone who: Is an effective and enthusiastic classroom teacher. Has an interest in inclusive practice and learning design. Values teamwork, open communication, and collaboration. Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing professional learning and reflective practice.
