The Core Tribe is backing our frontline by building products to make banking simpler and easier for our people. We know we can do this by supporting and maintaining the core systems we use today, while building intuitive and effective solutions that will allow us to help our customers into the future. Within Core, we have our Trade Banking squad that support the services used by our International Trade service business to support all our importer and/or exporter customers. You'll play a key role in enabling seamless, scalable, and secure integration by building reusable components and supporting modern engineering practices across squads. We advocate for T‑Shaped teams, where you will engage in all facets of engineering throughout your day. We are seeking developers with a diverse mix of technical skills to support the following activities: Maintenance of the systems our services run on including Windows Servers, MSSQL, and MQ services. Ensure services consistently meet agreed availability targets. Identify and manage operational and reliability risks early. Supporting activities associated with the upgrade of the SaaS platform. Actively participate in incident response and coordination and contribute to post‑incident reviews and action tracking. Work collaboratively and comfortably taking ownership of work/issues that deliver to user/business outcomes. You're a proactive problem solver with strong technical leadership and communication skills. You're confident gathering requirements, designing pragmatic solutions, and presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences. What you bring To thrive in this role, you’ll bring: Understanding of application development and software engineering lifecycles. Server admin experience (renewing certs on Windows / Linux boxes; patching Windows / Linux servers; DNS maintenance). Able to create Kibana dashboards and alerts for exception and health monitoring. Experience in creating and maintaining GHES / Azure / Octopus CI/CD pipelines and GIT / TFS source control. Prior experience with automation process and orchestration tools. Build, release and management of the configuration of all production systems. Motivated to learn new technologies and practices, as well as sharing that knowledge with other team members. Bring knowledge of new tools, processes and best practices into the squad. Automate security remediation and detection processes, develop documentation – SOP & knowledge base, dashboards and reporting. Experience working within Agile and DevOps frameworks. Enterprise networking and security knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (can balance the level of technical detail for the right audience, and can clearly articulate problem statements).
