It’s the kind of project that needs someone practical, organised, and ready to get stuck in from day one.In this team, our other work specialises in infrastructure construction with a strong focus on reinforced concrete. Our current projects span a wide range, including bridges, wharves, water treatment plants, storage tanks, and pipelines.This is a senior site-based role where you’ll take the lead civil and structural works on our current Wharf projectWorking side‐by‐side with a tight‐knit team, subcontractors and clients. Day to day, you’ll balance planning and coordination with being hands‐on when it counts, making sure we deliver safely, on programme and to spec. You’ll also help build and grow a strong crew culture, with opportunities to step into other major projects around New Zealand.**In addition to the above you will:*** Lead and coordinate day‐to‐day activities of the site crew and subcontractors on structural works.* Plan, sequence and supervise reinforced concrete, precast and structural steel operations for bridges, reservoirs and associated civil structures.* Champion HSQE on site, ensuring all works meet Fulton Hogan and statutory health, safety, quality and environmental standards.* Monitor progress against programme and specifications, troubleshooting issues and resolving on‐site challenges promptly.* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, designers, suppliers, inspectors and other stakeholders.* Maintain accurate records of work completed, quality checks, incidents, variations and daily site progress.* Coach, support and develop team members, helping create a positive, low‐ego, high‐performance site culture* Report progress, issues, and needs to the Project Manager**We’re looking for someone with:*** **Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Structure Supervisor** level, with reinforced concrete and structural steel experience.* Minimum 10 years in a Civil Construction in structural areas including **marine**, **bridge** building civil structures or commercial building utilising **concrete, precast** and structural steel valued at over (10M+).* Proven experience in developing and growing teams, encouraging a positive work environment.* Sound understanding of construction sequencing, temporary works, quality standards and cost/productivity drivers.* A collaborative, straight‐up leadership style – you’re comfortable on the ground with the crew as well as in client and consultant meetings.* A genuine commitment to safety and wellbeing, and the courage to stop work when it’s not right.**Good Work equals Good Benefits*** Company Vehicle* KiwiSaver employer contributions* Fuel discount card* Parental leave top-up payment with additional return to work support* Family scholarships* Ongoing training and development, career growth and progression opportunities* Great discounts at a wide range of retailers* Medical insurance “an eligibility period applies”* Life insuranceAt Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us.**Ko wai mātou | About us**Fulton Hogan is an integrated infrastructure, construction and services business working across New Zealand and Australia.
