Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 20/07/2026, End Date: 11/12/2026 (Teacher release) Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts Middle School West Auckland is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate teacher to join our team in a fixed-term co-curricular teacher position. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Year 7–10 students by delivering engaging, hands‑on learning experiences that complement our academic programme. Our co‑curricular classes focus on developing confident, connected, and capable young people through authentic learning opportunities, including sport, outdoor education, creative arts, technology, cultural experiences, leadership, life skills, and community‑based learning. We are looking for someone who: builds positive and respectful relationships with students, staff, and whānau creates engaging, practical learning experiences that motivate students has excellent classroom management and high expectations is flexible, innovative, and enjoys working collaboratively can contribute positively to the wider life of the school has strong organisational skills and is confident planning and leading a variety of learning experiences values learner wellbeing and believes every student can succeed has experience or an interest in te reo Māori and tikanga Māori (desirable but not essential).
