Job Description Business Data Analyst 2‑Year Fixed‑Term Contract, full‑time, with competitive remuneration and benefits Location: Wellington – Upper Hutt, New Zealand (onsite requirement, mixed with flexible WFH days) Career growth: Expand your expertise in a growing, successful industry Professional development: Gain valuable experience in a dynamic, evolving role We are looking for a Business Data Analyst who can interpret data, build clear dashboards, and support commercial decision making. This role is hands‑on with Excel and Power BI, works closely with Finance and Business Units, and focuses on insight, reporting, and process improvement rather than building complex data pipelines or platforms. What You Will Do Reporting, Dashboards & Insights Build and maintain Power BI dashboards for business reviews and operational reporting Analyse data from CRM, SAP/ERP and finance systems to produce clear, actionable insights Support leadership and BU teams with ad‑hoc analysis and interpretation, not just data extracts Ensure reports are accurate, consistent, and aligned to a single source of truth Business & Commercial Support Manage SAP pricing and rebates, including accruals, reconciliations, and margin protection with Finance Lead contract operations, enabling key terms in SAP and tracking renewals and compliance Maintain SAP customer master data governance, approvals, and data quality Design and maintain Excel‑based templates for targets, incentives, and allocations Align targets and reporting with Finance and Business Unit leaders Support Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) reporting, tracking, and budget alignment Maintain accurate customer and commercial master data across systems Process Improvement & Automation Identify manual, repetitive reporting or data tasks and improve them using available tools Improve how teams use CRM, SAP and reporting tools (practical optimisation, not system design) Help standardise processes, templates, SOPs and training materials Data Quality & Governance Support ongoing data quality, accuracy, and documentation Work with IT, Finance and global teams to resolve data issues and inconsistencies Ensure reporting is audit‑ready and well understood by business users What You Must Have Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field Equivalent practical experience in business or commercial analytics is welcome Essential Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI (building dashboards, measures, visuals) Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, templates, data analysis) Experience working as a Business Analyst / Commercial Analyst / Reporting Analyst Ability to interpret data and explain insights clearly to non‑technical stakeholders Strong attention to detail and comfort working with operational and financial data Confident working across Finance, Sales, Operations and IT teams What You Can Expect Work autonomously whilst being supported, encouraged and being part of a trusted Global Leading Animal Health organisation Exposure to upskill and develop in your role Flexibility and opening doors to other opportunities and skillsets Joining a collaborative team of likeminded individuals Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.
