About the Role Fixed term 12 months North Shore Hospital As part of ongoing investment in cancer care and new cancer medicines, we are expanding local oncology delivery across the Waitematā district. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Clinical Charge Nurse (ACCN) to support the delivery and coordination of our expanding local oncology service. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a developing model of care that brings cancer treatment closer to home for patients and whānau. Working closely with the Charge Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and multidisciplinary partners, you will help ensure high quality, safe, culturally responsive care for patients receiving cancer treatment. Your day will involve providing clinical oversight across treatment settings, supporting safe and efficient patient flow, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality, culturally responsive cancer care. You will balance hands‑on clinical leadership with service coordination, helping to embed new models of care that bring treatment closer to home for patients and their whānau. About you You are an experienced nurse with advanced clinical expertise in oncology or infusion services. You are known for your professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to exceptional patient care. You thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy supporting staff, improving systems, and enhancing patient experience. You will bring This role will suit someone who enjoys a blend of clinical leadership, service coordination, and supporting the delivery of local oncology care closer to home. Current NZ Registered Nurse APC Postgraduate nursing qualification (PGCert minimum; PGDip/Masters or leadership learning desirable or in progress) Minimum 5+ years clinical experience in oncology or infusion therapy Cannulation certification and capability in cytotoxic/biologic therapy (eviQ desirable) Demonstrated clinical leadership experience or readiness to step into a leadership role Strong assessment, critical thinking, and care coordination capability Experience in quality improvement, incident review, and operational processes Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, culturally safe practice, and equitable outcomes We welcome applications from our diverse Māori, Pacific, disabled, and rainbow communities.
