Administration Clerk – Cardiology Service North Shore Hospital – Casual Position (Work as and when required to suit availability) About the Role Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waitematā District – Cardiology Service at North Shore Hospital. We are seeking a highly organised and motivated administration professional to join our dedicated team in Cardiology Procedures Administration. This casual position combines responsibilities of patient scheduling for cardiovascular procedures with general administrative support for the Cardiology Service. You will play a key role in ensuring our patients receive an excellent experience throughout their journey in the Waitematā healthcare system. Key Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate patients for Cardiology procedures. Accurately enter and update patient information using the hospital’s iPMs system and other electronic systems. Manage telephone calls, emails, and front‑desk enquiries from patients, families, and external providers. Direct enquiries to the appropriate team members and provide courteous, professional assistance. Process paperwork and electronic documentation accurately and promptly. Arrange ordering of supplies and maintain office inventory. Provide ad hoc clerical and reception support as required. Ensure all administrative processes support excellent patient care and service delivery. About You Previous administration and booking/scheduling experience (ideally in the health or surgical sector). Excellent computer literacy and confidence learning new systems. Outstanding organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate and effective customer (patient) service. Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Flexibility to pick up shifts when required, including occasional after‑hours work.
