Experienced Drainlayer role working across civil and drainage projects in Hamilton. You’ll be responsible for installing and supervising drainage works, reading plans, managing site conditions, and supporting the crew to deliver safe, high‑quality outcomes. We’re looking for an experienced Drainlayer to join our Waikato team, working across a range of civil and drainage projects in Hamilton. This role suits someone who takes pride in doing quality work, can lead by example on site and understands the importance of safety, compliance and getting the job done right. Your Key Impact In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering drainage works to a high standard across our Waikato projects. Your experience will help ensure work is completed safely, to specification, and with the quality our clients and crews expect. What you’ll be doing Installing and supervising drainage works including pipes, subsoil drainage and manholes Carrying out trench excavation, potholing and pipeline laying Ensuring correct alignment, connections and quality across drainage installations Managing water flow, trench stability and site conditions Reading and working from plans, drawings and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) Supporting and guiding crew members to maintain safety and quality standards Ensuring compliance with health & safety, environmental requirements and company policies What you’ll bring Registered Drainlayer (or ability to gain certification through the PGDB) Strong knowledge of drainage installation methods, equipment and best practice Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans Solid understanding of health & safety requirements and site compliance Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a small crew Basic numeracy skills for daily calculations (NCEA Level 2 Maths or equivalent) Why You’ll Love It Here Competitive wage and benefits $1,000 Extraordinary Health & Wellness Benefit Training and development opportunities Career progression and development support Flat management structure – you’re more than a number A strong team environment with good people and good culture #J-18808-Ljbffr
