About the Role Aramex New Zealand has an opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager Linehaul to join our team. Aramex NZ is currently seeking a motivated and operationally strong leader to support the day-to-day management of the national linehaul network, working closely with the National Linehaul Manager to balance service delivery, compliance, safety, and financial outcomes. As the Operations Manager – Linehaul, the role is focused on managing linehaul capacity, contractor performance, fleet and equipment compliance, and supporting domestic freight initiatives across the Aramex NZ network. Responsibilities Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Aramex NZ linehaul network, ensuring service, cost, and compliance targets are met. Supporting the National Linehaul Manager in managing linehaul contractors, including performance, incident reporting, and compliance oversight. Managing linehaul capacity planning, load planning, and network scheduling, including ferry movements. Overseeing contractor drivers, including approvals, licence and endorsement checks, logbook reviews, and performance management where required. Managing domestic freight activities, including customer coordination, job negotiation, pricing, and operational delivery. Providing operational oversight and direction to RF-operated hubs and mini hubs. Managing company assets including trailers, vehicles, cages, and associated compliance, maintenance, and damage reporting. Ensuring scanning, EROAD, and system compliance across the linehaul network. Championing health and safety initiatives and promoting a strong safety-first culture across the network. Acting as a role model by consistently demonstrating Aramex leadership behaviours. Qualifications A minimum of 5 years’ experience in transport and logistics. Forklift experience to a reasonable operational level. A Class 5 licence (preferred). Required Skills Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders. A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond to changing operational demands while maintaining performance and consistency.
