Job Description

Administration Support - Casual Timaru Hospital Telephonist/Emergency Reception This role is part of a 24/7 service and requires flexibility to work a range of rostered shifts to cover planned and unplanned leave. Both Emergency Reception and Telephonist duties are performed, with full training provided. Rostered Shifts 7:00am – 3:30pm 12:00pm – 8:30pm 3:00pm – 11:00pm 11:00pm – 7:00am Key Responsibilities Managing incoming calls and responding to enquiries Coordinating emergency response teams when required Supporting hospital-wide emergency and alarm procedures Performing administrative and computer-based tasks Delivering high-quality service to patients, staff, and visitors About you We are looking for an empathetic, organised, and proactive individual who can remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively with a diverse range of people.
