About the Role We are seeking a passionate, registered nurse with orthopaedic operating theatre experience to join our vibrant, fast‑paced team. About the Team / Service Theatres and Anaesthesia department at Waikato Hospital comprises 24 operating theatres, a Post‑Anaesthetic Care Unit and Day of Surgery Admission Unit. We serve a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopaedics, general surgery, vascular, cardiac, urology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, ENT, plastics, paediatrics, delivery suite, gynaecology, maxillofacial and more. About Hamilton Waikato Hospital is a major regional hospital in Hamilton with 722 inpatient beds, 22 operating theatres and a dedicated outpatient clinic and procedure centre. It is located in a vibrant city beside the Waikato River, offering a mix of nature, culture and recreational opportunities. Required Qualifications Minimum of 3–5 years post‑registration experience in orthopaedic theatre nursing Strong understanding of orthopaedic instruments, equipment and surgical protocols Demonstrated knowledge of infection prevention and sterile techniques in an operating theatre Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety, quality and evidence‑based practice How to Apply All applications must be submitted through the online careers portal before 11:59 pm on Thursday, 23 July 2026.
