Job Description
Lead Group Facilitator – Adult Community Mental Health Services Position: Lead Group Facilitator Location: Ihi Ora, Grafton (works across Grafton, Greenlane, Mount Eden and Panmure) About the Role Lead the development and ongoing delivery of a therapeutic group programme across Adult Community Mental Health Services. Responsibilities include group facilitation, pre‑ and post‑group assessment, transition planning, coordination with Clinical Nurse Specialists and Psychologists, and ensuring the sustainability of evidence‑based treatment. The role may also involve assessment and treatment of a small caseload of tangata whaiora relevant to the professional background. Qualifications & Experience Registration with an appropriate registering body and current Annual Practising Certificate. Minimum of 5 years experience in Mental Health, ideally Adult Community. Demonstrable experience facilitating a variety of groups for an adult population. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. About the Team / Service The Adult Community Mental Health Services (CMHS) comprise four community mental health centres providing evidence‑based assessment and treatment to adults with moderate to severe mental distress. Multidisciplinary teams deliver comprehensive care, including psychiatry, nursing, psychological and psychosocial interventions, and coordinate with non‑government partners.
