Senior Maintenance Technician – Real Journeys Location: Te Anau or Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand. Job type: Permanent – Full Time. We are seeking a trade‑qualified, experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to lead the maintenance and operational performance of RealNZ’s diverse infrastructure assets. Based at Te Anau or Queenstown, the successful candidate will plan, coordinate, and oversee both planned and reactive maintenance across our portfolio, manage maintenance projects from start to finish, ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget, and provide technical leadership and mentoring to the wider infrastructure team. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and supervise planned and reactive maintenance activities. Manage maintenance projects from initiation through completion, ensuring safety, quality, and budget compliance. Supervise contractors and internal teams, providing technical leadership and mentorship. Maintain comprehensive records, schedules, and reporting for asset management. Identify and troubleshoot faults to minimize downtime and improve asset longevity. Ensure all maintenance work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Qualifications & Experience Trade qualification or equivalent technical certification. Minimum 5 years of experience working with infrastructure assets, heavy equipment, facilities, or industrial systems. Strong understanding of planned maintenance, fault finding, asset management, and contractor supervision. Proven ability to coordinate activities and deliver quality outcomes safely and efficiently. Excellent record‑keeping, planning, and organisational skills. Demonstrated leadership capability, with an ability to mentor and support team members. Self‑motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Full New Zealand Driver Licence. Benefits Competitive remuneration package, including medical insurance.
