We're welcoming Cardiac Sonographers who are ready to bring their skills to a new setting and make a difference in patient care.### Opportunities across Health New ZealandCardiac Sonographers work in inpatient and outpatient cardiology services across rural, regional and tertiary hospitals. Cardiac Sonographers are on Tier 1 of New Zealand's Green List, making you eligible for the Straight to Residence Visa – so you can apply for residency before you even arrive.Whether you're based by the coast, in the mountains or in a vibrant town, New Zealand offers space to breathe and time to enjoy what matters most.### Salary & benefits**Salary:** Sonographers in New Zealand are covered by either the APEX or PSA collective agreement.* **APEX:** NZD $121,000 – $162,000 (11-step scale; steps 1–5 progress automatically). Reporting Sonographers: NZD $131,000 – $173,000 (10-step scale).* **PSA:** NZD $102,298 – $137,710 (11-step scale; steps 1–5 progress automatically). Trainee Sonographers: NZD $75,144 – $79,330 (2-step scale).**Additional compensation:** Penal rates, on-call and higher duties where applicable**You'll also receive:*** Reimbursement of your Professional Registration and APC* Paid Continuing Professional Development (CPD) time and allowance* Professional indemnity cover provided by Health NZ* Four weeks of annual leave per year* Ten days of paid sick leave* Twelve public holidays (plus time in lieu if rostered on)* Fourteen weeks paid parental leave* Long service and special leave entitlements### What you need to work hereTo work as a Cardiac Sonographer in New Zealand, you must be registered with the \*\*Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB)\*\* under the Cardiac Sonography scope of practice and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).You'll need a recognised qualification in cardiac ultrasound (e.g. DMU, PGDip Echo, MSc Echo or equivalent).
