This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced policy professional to join the Treasury's Commercial Performance Division. You will be comfortable spanning across policy and operational advice, and willing to get stuck in to support our expert and collaborative teams make an impact. The Commercial Performance Division is responsible for strategic oversight of the government's commercial entities, mixed-ownership entities, and Crown Financial Institutions. We deliver expert advice on managing the governance of entities and the framework that underpins these assets and options that optimise financial and non-financial performance. We lead the advisory process for the government’s substantial commercial dealings, align the entities with broader government objectives and lead the Export Credit office. This is an exciting time to be in the Commercial Performance Division and contribute to our work programme through this position. You will have an opportunity to work in a number of exciting areas across the team workprogramme, including on stewardship and adaptation of the operating model for the commercial entity monitoring system, stewardship of our legislative and regulatory frameworks, and system enhancements. The particulars of the work programme will be relative to the skills and experience of the candidate. We are seeking a candidate with a broad public sector/policy background. Experience with economic, commercial, financial or regulatory policy advice would be an advantage, but is not essential. If you have been successful in guiding critical and complex policy areas, and you understand how to use your communication, leadership, relationship and analytical skills to get traction on complex policy problems, then we would like to hear from you. You must have a minimum of 4.5 years of experience.
