About Our Role Location : St Joseph's Lifecare, Beautiful Upper Hutt, Wellington Shift : AM shifts Our Gardener is responsible for maintaining lawns, gardens and outdoor areas, including mowing, edging, weed control and general garden care to an exceptional standard. This role requires reliability, friendliness and professionalism, with strong teamwork, work ethic and attention to detail. Skills & Experience Previous gardening, landscaping or lawn mowing experience preferred Knowledge of lawn care, weed control, pruning and general garden maintenance Horticultural certification or experience preferred Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently Physically fit and capable of performing manual outdoor work Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high presentation standards Reliable, hardworking and punctual with a positive attitude Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team Ability to demonstrate initiative and problem‑solving skills Experience operating gardening equipment and tools safely Full clean driver’s licence required What’s in it for you Work for one of the most progressive aged care companies in New Zealand Competitive pay scale based on skills and experience Opportunities for professional development and advancement Supportive and collaborative work environment Make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
