With solar hubs across New Zealand and a passionate, down‑to‑earth team, we’re building a sustainable energy ecosystem that empowers Kiwis to take control of their energy future. We are a fast‑paced, high‑growth business with big ambitions and an even bigger purpose. Now, we’re looking for skilled and motivated Solar Electricians to join our growing commercial installation team. Primarily based in Waikato, however regular travel across NZ will be required. As a Solar Electrician, you’ll be a key part of our nationwide installation team, responsible for installing and servicing commercial, and industrial grid‑tied solar systems. You’ll work closely with the commercial project team to ensure each project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. This role is hands‑on, customer‑facing, and essential to bringing clean energy solutions to homes and businesses across the country. There will be times where working away from home is required as our installation are across different location in NZ. Key Responsibilities Install wiring, switchgear, transformers, panels, and mounting systems for solar power solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Connect and commission inverters, battery systems, charge controllers, and other energy‑storage components. Install and maintain photovoltaic (PV) systems and related equipment. Interpret electrical diagrams, technical documentation, and solar specifications. Perform electrical safety testing and ensure all work meets NZ standards and regulations. Diagnose faults, complete repairs, and replace components where needed. Assist with warehouse duties including stocktaking, picking, loading/unloading kits. Provide constructive feedback to Sales and Customer Service to improve customer experience and installation quality. Demonstrate professional, friendly customer service and represent the Lightforce brand with pride. Uphold Lightforce values, support teammates, and celebrate collective wins. Meet performance targets and contribute to ongoing improvement of installation processes. Follow all Health, Safety & Wellbeing policies and procedures. Skills & Experience NZ Electrical Registration, or NZ Limited Certificate (EWRB) with commitment toward gaining full registration. Current work visa (if applicable). Strong technical ability and pride in high‑quality work. A customer‑focused mindset and great communication skills. Willingness to travel and work away from home when required. A positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to teamwork. Experience in solar is an advantage — but not essential. We’ll support you to learn and grow in the industry. Why Lightforce Solar? Be part of one of NZ’s fastest-growing renewable energy companies. Meaningful work that helps people, communities, and the planet. Supportive team culture with great banter and genuine connection. Career growth pathways in an expanding industry with our newly developed Career Progression Framework. A company that values diversity, initiative, and doing things the right way. #J-18808-Ljbffr
