Casual Tutor – Southern Institute of Technology (SIT), Queenstown Campus We are seeking Experienced Professionals to teach a range of subjects at our Queenstown Campus. All positions are casual, on‑site and have an immediate start. Subjects HTM509 Service Delivery Systems ACT510 Introduction to Accounting and Taxation IBS790 International Business HTM610 Contemporary Tourism Essential Requirements HTM509 Service Delivery Systems : Minimum Level 6 qualification in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, Management, or a related field; relevant industry experience in hospitality, tourism, customer service, hotel operations or service delivery. ACT510 Introduction to Accounting and Taxation : Minimum Level 6 qualification in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Business or a related field; relevant industry experience in accounting, taxation, bookkeeping, finance or business. HTM610 Contemporary Tourism : Minimum Level 7 qualification in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, Management or a related field; relevant industry experience in tourism, hospitality, destination management, visitor experiences or a related sector. IBS790 International Business : Minimum Level 8 qualification in International Business, Business, Management, Marketing, Economics or a related field; relevant industry experience in international business, global trade, operations or management. For all roles: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Preferred: Previous teaching, training or mentoring experience; a teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging classes and learning activities. Support students to understand subject‑specific concepts. Help students apply theory to real‑world situations. Assess and mark student work in accordance with programme requirements. Provide constructive feedback and academic support. Participate in moderation and quality assurance processes. About You You bring current industry experience into the classroom and enjoy helping students connect theory with practice. You are passionate about your profession and committed to student success.
