We are looking for a skilled Speech Language Therapist to join our experienced team working with adults experiencing communication and swallowing difficulties in the Nelson Tasman area. Our team provides care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings with a primary focus on inpatients. The role is casual with flexible hours, being called upon as needed Monday to Friday between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM. Opportunity to join a highly experienced and motivated SLT team. About the Role As a casual Speech Language Therapist, you will work across a wide range of aetiologies and settings with adults. This includes inpatient, outpatient and community contexts, with a strong emphasis on inpatient service. All work will be with the adult population. The position is casual with no set hours. You will be called on on an as‑per‑needed basis, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The majority of work is expected at Nelson Hospital, with occasional travel to Wairau Hospital considered an advantage but not required. About you Required qualifications and experience: A relevant qualification in speech‑language therapy recognized and approved by the New Zealand Speech‑Language Therapists’ Association (NZSTA). Registered member with the NZSTA. A current full driver’s licence. Minimum of two years’ experience in the hospital setting is preferred. Eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
