What we’re looking for A genuine passion for hospitality and creating standout guest experiences Confident, friendly leadership style with strong communication skills Ability to stay calm under pressure and juggle multiple priorities Minimum 2 years’ experience in a bar, restaurant, or customer‑facing hospitality role Current Duty Manager Certificate and LCQ Flexible availability across a 7‑day roster (days, nights, and weekends) What you’ll be doing Supporting the Venue Manager with the day‑to‑day running of Astrolabe Leading shifts, motivating the team, and providing real‑time coaching Delivering warm, memorable service that keeps locals and visitors coming back Managing compliance, health & safety, and licensed premises requirements Handling core financial tasks including cash‑ups, labour control, and end‑of‑day reporting Assisting with onboarding, training, and developing new team members Benefits Secure full‑time role (minimum 30 hours per week) Competitive hourly rate $30–$34, based on experience Work in a vibrant Mt Maunganui venue with a supportive, down‑to‑earth team Clear development pathways within New Zealand Venue Co.
