Electrician

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established New Zealand industrial services business that specialises in the repair, servicing and maintenance of large electrical equipment supporting some of the country’s leading manufacturing, power generation and processing facilities. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialist skills in electromechanical repair while working alongside an experienced team. Previous experience with generators or large motors is advantageous, but not essential, as full training will be provided. This is a varied position combining field service and workshop-based repair. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, testing equipment and supporting the installation and commissioning of industrial electrical equipment at customer sites throughout the Central North Island. Key Responsibilities Include Fault finding, testing and repair of industrial electrical equipment Removal, installation and commissioning of electric motors, generators and pumps Servicing and testing of switchgear and electrical apparatusPreventive and breakdown maintenance Workshop-based repair and testing of electromechanical equipment Providing professional customer service while working on client sites Working safely and maintaining high-quality workmanship About You Current New Zealand EWRB Registered Electrician practising licence Full, unrestricted working rights in New Zealand Full New Zealand Class 1 driver's licence Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills Experience in industrial, manufacturing or electromechanical environments is highly regarded Experience working with motors, pumps, switchboards or industrial machinery is advantageous A proactive attitude and willingness to learn specialist electromechanical repair skills Strong communication and time management skillsThe ability to work independently and as part of a team If you're looking to build a career in industrial electrical and electromechanical services, we'd love to hear from you.
