About the Role As an Anaesthetist Technician / RNAA, you will: Assist anaesthetists during surgeries by preparing and handling anaesthetic equipment; Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure patientsafety and comfort during procedures; Maintain anaesthetic equipment and stock supplies; Collaborate closely with surgical teams to support seamless and efficient operating theatre operations; Comply with hospital policies and safetystandards, maintaining a high standard of patient care. This is a Fixed Term role for up to 12 months, covering parental leave. The hours are 56 hours per fortnight (0.7 FTE). Shifts are flexible' rostered and rotating Monday to Sundayincluding evenings, weekends and on-call. Surgicalspecialties covered include General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology,Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dental, Acute/Trauma, Paediatrics, Plastics andVascular. For more information on living and working in Nelson click here About you To be considered for this position you must: Be a Registered Anaesthetic Technician or aRNAA, with a current APC issued by The Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand(MSCNZ) or be eligible for the same; Have relevant experience in an anaesthetic orperioperative setting is preferred; Have strong attention to detail, effectivecommunication, and team collaboration skills; Be ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the department and cope with a high and varied workload, includingemergency situations. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in NewZealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.
