About the Role As the Nurse Educator, you will play a pivotal rolein supporting and developing nursing staff across the organisation. You willprovide leadership, guidance, and education that develop nursing knowledge,clinical competence, critical thinking, and professional practice. Key responsibilities include: Improving the experience ofhealthcare consumers, their families, and whānau by ensuring the provision ofcompetent, confident, and capable nursing clinicians across the healthcontinuum. Leading and advocating forappropriate nursing knowledge, critical thinking, clinical skills, competencedevelopment, and effective utilisation of escalation pathways to support safeand effective care. Prioritising and promotingequity in education, clinical practice, and service delivery. Ensuring clinical qualitysystems are in place within and across nursing services to enhance caredelivery and improve patient outcomes. Contributing to servicepriorities, workforce development, and continuous quality improvementinitiatives. About the Team/Service/ Location The Nursing Education team works in partnershipwith nursing leaders, clinical services, and multidisciplinary teams acrossNelson Marlborough to support workforce capability and professionaldevelopment. The team is committed to ensuring nursing staff have access tohigh-quality education, clinical support, and professional developmentopportunities that enable them to provide safe, effective, and patient-centredcare. About you You will bring a minimum of 5 years recent clinicalexperience along with validated advanced specialist knowledge and expertise in engagingeducational attention and enhanced learning ability by nursing clinicians. Youwill have demonstrated skill to multi-task and manage multiple projectsreprioritising same as required. You will also have: Registration with the Nursing Council ofNew Zealand as a Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate Postgraduate Diploma qualificationobtained and working towards or completed a master's qualification Demonstrated leadership experience withincontemporary professional nursing at a senior level Strong communication and interpersonalskills A collaborative approach and commitmentto high-quality patient-centred care and equity within healthcare setting Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
