The role This is a pivotal leadership role for a qualified accountant who enjoys partnering with senior leaders, influencing commercial investment decisions, and building strong financial disciplines across a diverse investment portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll be responsible for: Leading group financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and long‑term modelling Overseeing treasury management, including cash flow, funding structures, liquidity and banking relationships Leading the development of high‑quality management and board reporting Driving business intelligence, planning and forecasting capabilities Partnering with senior leaders across the business to strengthen financial capability and accountability Overseeing project and fixed asset accounting Leading and developing a high‑performing finance team What you’ll bring We’re looking for a seasoned finance professional with strong technical grounding and proven leadership capability. To be successful in the role, you will bring: A Chartered Accountant qualification (or equivalent) 10+ years of experience in financial planning, forecasting, modelling and treasury management Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate data into meaningful insights Experience working with complex group structures or diverse investment portfolios Proven ability to partner with executives and present confidently at senior leadership or board level A collaborative leadership style with a focus on developing others Experience in a values‑led, iwi, public sector or purpose‑driven organisation is advantageous Our Tikanga (Values) At TGH, we embody the values of Manaakitanga (Care), Mahitahi (Teamwork), Kaitiakitanga (Guardianship) and Pono me te Tika (Integrity).
