Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role The Government Finance Profession team within the Government Finance Division has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Systems Accountant to join a dynamic and highly skilled team. In this role you will play an important role , including helpdesk support by responding to queries, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to ongoing system improvements for two key Treasury systems – CFISnet (the Crown’s Financial and Information System) and TADAA (Treasury Data and Analytics). To succeed in this role you will bring the following: A relevant qualification in information technology, or demonstrated experience supporting software, hardware, or network issues. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and work through practical solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a strong customer service focus. A positive, reliable, and team‑oriented approach, with a willingness to contribute to a supportive team environment. Strong organisational skills and the ability to stay calm and effective when working under pressure. A genuine interest in helping others and working across both finance and IT contexts. An understanding of basic SQL and public sector experience would be advantageous, but are not essential.
